The theme of the 36th International Conference on Information Management (ICIM) organized by the Chinese Society of Information Management (CSIM) is "The New Wave of Moving from Information Management (IM) to Intelligence Management (IM)." This is seen as a new trend in information technology development by both academia and industry. In the face of the accelerated global impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and sustainable development, organizations must effectively leverage technology to drive digital transformation. This allows them responding quickly to various uncertainties and challenges of change with the assistance of AI.

Since the breakthrough of AI following the Covid-19 pandemic, countries around the world have focused on addressing the current challenges posed by large language models (LLM). AI has become a prominent field in research and technological applications today, with major tech companies continuously advancing in multimodal processing using natural language, speech, and images/videos. These companies are seeking breakthroughs and making effective use of AI tools, such as OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini AI model. These models are also used as auxiliary tools by various tech giants, including MediaTek's "Dago" and Wistron’s "Columbus." NVIDIA, through the development of AI chips, has seen its stock price soar to the top one global market value, highlighting the next trend in AI. As an intelligent assistant, AI can be applied in many business organizations and for general users. With advancements in technology, emerging technologies like AI, big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT) are comprehensively changing the applications and scope of Information Management (IM), propelling it toward Intelligence Management (IM).

The call for papers for this conference is open to a wide range of applications of emerging technologies in the fields of information and intelligent management. Topics include AI and ESG, telecommunications and the Metaverse, blockchain and cryptocurrency, digital marketing and AI with communication in information management applications and best practices. In response to the effects brought about by the development of all-encompassing AI applications, this conference welcomes contributions beyond these topics from various fields. The ICIM 2025 International Conference aims to foster communication and cooperation between academia, industry, and government sectors, working together to explore new trends in information and intelligent management under the influence of AI, big data, and IoT, and to provide valuable research contributions and practical recommendations for the future development of these fields.
